Steve Hinder, Director of Business Operations
Steve is a skilled communicator with a lifetime of community involvement. His numerous volunteer commitments as an active member of the Aurora community earned him the prestigious "Citizen of the Year" award in 1996.
He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Children's Wish Foundation where he served as the Director of Fundraising.
He is a former member of Municipal Council for the Town of Aurora and retired as a Staff Sergeant and the Manager of recruit training after a 30 year career with the Toronto Police Service. He also coordinated the Law Enforcement and Security Continuing Education program at Seneca College for ten years.
Currently he is a founding Board Member of the Community Safety Village of York Region and is the current Administrator of the York Region Youth Justice Committee. Steve presently serves as a member of the Ontario Parole and Earned Release Board.
Doug Mottram, Director of Training
Doug is a skilled facilitator with classroom, broadcast and distance learning expertise. He has developed and delivered many training programs including Adult Education, Effective Presentation, Supervisory Skills, Leadership, Effective Communication, Customer Service, Interviewing Techniques and Conflict Resolution.
He served for thirty-one years with Toronto Police, completing his career as a Staff Sergeant in the Training and Education Unit where he was responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of courses, seminars and workshops attended by the seven thousand members of the Service.
Doug is past president and a member of the Board of Directors of Streetlight Support Services, a non-profit agency that provides exit programs for individuals involved in the sex trade. He is also a member and panel chair of the York Region Youth Justice Committee.
